TIMELINE

 

1944 to 1949:

The Central Dairy Plant, which was linked to the Secretary of Agriculture of the State of Minas Gerais, was born.
Representatives from six associated cooperatives and some individual producers formed the Central Cooperative of Rural Milk Producers Ltd. CCPL.
The company was handed over to the producers by the government under a leasing agreement.

 

1950 to 1959:

 Milk and yogurt started being delivered in glass bottles.
The name CCPL was changed to CCPR - Central Cooperative of Rural Producers.
A new factory for the production of milk powder, butter, cheese and sweet milk dessert "doce de leite" was inaugurated in Sete Lagoas.
The production of the traditional Brazilian cheese "prato" also began.

 

1960 to 1969:

The construction of the Belo Horizonte plant began. 
The Vaquinha (little cow) Plant in Contagem that produced type C milk was purchased.
The company's growth was so great that sales offices for final products were established in the Federal District (DF), Rio de Janeiro (RJ) and São Paulo (SP).
Whole milk powder in 250g plastic packing was launched.

 

1970 to 1979:

Fruit flavor yogurt and a new brand; CCPR were launched.
The butter factory at the Belo Horizonte Plant was completed.
A plant in Brasilia was bought.
 With the large volume of sales, butter was also exported to Italy.
After 25 years on the market, CCPR / Itambé inaugurated another factory in Belo Horizonte.
A new plant was also installed in the city of Guanhães.
Itambé flan, yogurt with pieces of fruit, pasteurized milk "type B" packed in plastic bags and sour cream milk were launched. 

 

1980 to 1989:

A plant for the production of pasteurized milk and butter was purchased in Conselheiro Lafaiete/MG.
In Goiania, a new plant dedicated to the production of milk powder and butter began operating.
The production of cheese and cream cheese began at the plant in Piracanjuba, Goiás.
Canning factories were modernized and expanded.
Frutambé yogurt with jam and natural yogurt with carrot, orange and honey were launched.

                 
                 

1990 to 1999:

The yogurt plant in Belo Horizonte was expanded.
Expansion also took place In Sete Lagoas.
Flavored Doce de Leite (sweet milk dessert), Itambaby, Vitambé and whole milk powder in its new aluminized bag packaging were launched.
The plant in Pará de Minas was inaugurated.

 

2000 to 2010:

The expansion of the Sete Lagoas and Para de Minas plants were completed in order to start producing UHT milk and canned cream. 
The agreement for the participation of CCPR / Itambé in the export trading company Serlac was signed.
Petit Cereais, Fit Zero Yogurt and the UHT Milk Premium Line of products were launched.
The Fit Light line of products was launched.
Itambé takes over the Minas Tênis Clube water park in Belo Horizonte and the name is changed to Itambé Parque Aquático (Water Park).
